WASHINGTON (AP) - The Congressional Hispanic Caucus denounced House Democratic leaders Wednesday as "spineless" and no better than Republicans for failing to take on comprehensive immigration reform.

Please note that when Black and Hispanic groups viciously criticize the Democratic Party, on any issue, there is ZERO return criticism from Demo leaders or Demo activists.
Contrast that with the treatment Conservatives get at FreeRepublic from pro-McCain Republicans.

That makes sense considering the GOP has become and continues to become increasingly socialistic by appeasing the socialist left in order to expand The GOP's voter base. The GOP and the socialist Democrats are ideologically becoming one party.

Interesting point, especially considering the fact that FReepers on both sides of the issues here typically have Constitutional grounds and STANDING unlike some of those far-Lefties...

Loyalty to La Razza over one’s country seems to be the norm these days considering this story, Reverend Wright etc.

I tend to think Americans need to analyze their identities based on historical perspectives and future necessities. For example, the following group identities could shed some light on the future direction of the country.
Congressional Whites (1776): Established based on civilized White European society with modifications for a better human existence.
Congressional Black Caucus (1971): Established as a reactionary entity to Congressional Whites without any basis on civilized African society.
Congressional Hispanic Caucus (1976): Established as a reactionary entity to Congressional Whites and Blacks without any basis on civilized Spanish (European) society.
If the Congressional Black Caucus and Congressional Hispanic Caucus are good entities, then their should be more Caucuses in the future representing a diverse America. If they are bad entities, social Darwinistic forces will direct America to an unknown future.

the future is nearly set: a weak America divided into ethnic zones, member of the North American Union,
ruled by bureaucrats and wealthy families..
china/russia will dominate the world as they fight off the Globalism of the west...
The constitution will be revoked by rules set by the
new world order power structure: “McCains” group of free nations or just the old UN.
average Americans will live at much lower standards than we now have, as we sacrifice for the Ecology of the planet - global warming taxes and mandated reductions in energy use
LIght bulbs, cars, home size, type of foods we eat...
I say eat and be merry for tomorrow we die.

The main problem is reversing the damage done by the biggest scam in American history, the "religious based civil rights movement", the effect of which put black America 100s of years behind old Europe. The second is Eisenhower's warning about the effect of the military industrial complex on American society. However, both problems will take generations of constant effort to overcome so I think the most logical direction will be the establishment of the North American Union and the gradual irrelevance of the USA over time.

This can all be packaged into a European Union style "North American universal health care coverage" program. I tend to think this snowball is 3/4 down the hill with nothing in sight to stop it.

take the profit out of medicine, much like the collective farm system in the old soviet block and you get sub standard products and shortages, usually both.
Socialism is rampant in the leaders of both parties here in America, as it increases their power, so your 3/4 down the hill seems very true.

I disagree on the cause..the cause is a standard of living that allowed people to accept government control over charity and the establishment of government set of higher”morals” from religious moral standards. (eco movements, planned parenthood, ACLU all gov funded, and now the loss of private property rights) . this is result of the concept of Humanism which led to Socialism..look to EU for the progression as Europe was first to embrace both.

this is result of the concept of Humanism which led to Socialism..look to EU for the progression as Europe was first to embrace both.I would tend to agree with you if I had not spent the last 5 years in Europe. I tend to think the old European view of the Americas some 300 years ago is somewhat similar to the US view of Europeans with Humanism and Socialism (based on substituting "Old European class and culture" for "American intelligence and capitalism"). I tend to think there are limits to an intellectual/capitalist society in an inter-connected world where, while the West is deal-focused, the majority (85%) of the world's people live in relationship-focused societies. In short, I think American values has been the bright light that has changed the world and other societies have implemented "Americanism" into their cultures but our cultural/societal base is eroding very quickly (based on the two points I mentioned earlier) with "pure" modern Americanism.
