You’re more than welcome. I guess if some people haven’t heard of something they consider it a lie.
That is a fair call as it seems over the top but sadly you found the truth.
If it’s not taken already I might change my tagfline to “This is not the America I knew when I was young.”
Or they are “peass” activists
Folks may not know that also in PA, a friend and journalist was assaulted by a so called peace protester.
I believe Melanie wrote about this as well. It happened in West Chester, PA. I was not present for the incident, but have witnessed attempts by the left to intimidate and agitate the Victory crowd by implementing standard Stalinist tactics.
They focus on woman and the disabled.
Nice, huh? This is allegedly the free speech crowd. /s
I then read a review of the book that said his methodology was flawed, because he used the Internet. The writer's thesis was that those stories didn't start being told until 10 years after Viet Nam was over. The reviewer pointed out that in his opinion, the Internet wasn't a complete source because a lot of information and anecdotes from that era have not been put on the Internet, and that he's seen that problem in research before.
I Googled "Viet Nam spit veteran" and didn't find much (I didn't spend much time, honestly), so I don't know who's right and who's wrong. Not taking sides, just issuing a caveat about the nature and quality of the information we get today.
