My point is that the technique is completely backfiring. It was a stupid idea and it skewed a process that was already chaotic, but would probably have turned out better for us without any interference.

I’ll point out an interesting aspect of this FL & MI situation. The delegates, by the statements of the DNC...are disqualified from the “first round”. The DNC hasn’t said anything about the aspects of the second or third or fourth round of voting...if a winner isn’t declared on the first vote. You have to remember...the declared delegates are totally free after the first round to vote for anyone.

I’m suspecting that the super-delegates will abstain from the first round, on purpose. No winners declared in the first round.....so the DNC will smile and then invite the MI & FL delegates to vote for the second round. My guess is that half of the super-delegates will stand-down and abstain a second time...on purpose. By this point...some state delegations will start to deal.

I think Hillary could then pull off a win, and shock the Obama crowd greatly. Everyone would accept this scenario...and the DNC would get out of this mess.

If he has a Dem congress, which he will, he’ll be signing exactly the bills he wants to sign. He also gets to appoint at least two Supreme Court justices, btw, and you can imagine what they’re going to be like. I think a lot of laws will get passed in the first year or so, before there is any organized resistance built up - and before the few Dems who probably do love and respect their country have time to decide they don’t want to go along with the lunacy - and then we’re going to have a lot of difficulty doing anything to resist it.

because Hillary has NO chance of winning the nomination. NONE.

What if Obama has a seizure and can't go on? What if Obama passes away fom a mysterious illness, dies in an accident, or is murdered by some "conservative redneck thug" planted by the Clintons? What if Hillary wins the popular vote and the big states and the DNC desides to "let the voters of Florida and Michigan" decide? What if It gets so close that the Super-delegates take them both in a room and say "Barack, you are the younger and less experienced of the candidates. You can be VP for 8 years and still be president for 8 years too. Hillary is older. this is her last best chance. We believe that a Clinton/Obama ticket will heal all wounds, reunite the party, make the old agree with the young, the rich agree with the poor, the college crowd agree with the high-scoolers and the blacks, whites, and hispanics band together. We also are telling you that if you refuse the offer, you will very probably lose and be condemned to history's dumpster. Eternal fame, or the dumpster Barack? What is it?

Good points. My point is that I don't think these superdelegates (or any of them, actually) want to within 10 miles of EITHER

a) denying the nomination to whoever wins the popular vote (and it could be Hillary if MI and FL are counted), or

b) denying the nomination to the "black guy."

So I think you're gonna see the biggest bob and weave since Ali fought Frazier at the convention, as these people will take ANY option, including the courts, to avoid having to make one of those two choices.

In a lot of those scenarios you mentioned — basically involving the death of Obama — Hillary could be “called back” even if she was already defeated and “out”. So that’s not really an issue, then, is it?

As far as the back room deal goes, you might have a point on that one. I have to grant you that. However, that presupposes that all parties are rational and dealing with dems (or for that matter, any pols) that’s a pretty big pre-supposition.

The one thing I am sure of right now is that Hillary is gasping and doing lots of damage to her party and thinks she can remain viable by doing that damage and frankly, I’m lovin’ it and would love to see it continue.

You have a point about registration. I don’t live in any of the states affected by Operation Chaos. I don’t know if I would go so far as to actually go vote in a rat primary. All I know is this: I see Rush’s point, I see what he’s trying to do, and I think his goal is well-thought-out and laudable.

LS, you gotta trust me on this one ... the Clintons will bend, fold, staple and mutilte the rules to get what they want .. not to mention any individual or party that gets in their way.

HOWEVER, rules of the DNC are not and cannot be stretched in any shape, manner or form to become LAW. Soooooooooo, their ‘courts’ are the powers that be at the DNC and at its nominating convention. There cannot and will not be a lawsuit.
