National Review's editors should get their heads out of their behind. John McCain isn't running as a conservative! Rush Limbaugh commented yesterday that while the Democrats are looking for conservative candidates to win in GOP leaning districts, the Republicans are bent on nominating a RINO and wannabe liberal to appeal to the independents and moderates. Its stunning. We're told to settle for the lesser of two evils because the Democrats will screw up the country. If we have to support a Republican President who supports the Democratic agenda, both conservatism and the GOP brand name will end up even more damaged. I'd support and vote for McCain if he ran like a Reagan conservative. But he isn't and I can't back his candidacy.

Even if McCain wins in November, he, like George H.W. Bush will face a Democrat dominated Congress. Only this time, the Sam Nunns are nowhere to be found.
