The compound probably got a good price on bulk cotton. I’ve never seen so many plain pastel colors.
I’ve seen a picture of Carolyn Jessop’s husband and his wives in matching floral print dresses. I think it’s mostly a matter of cost and appropriatness (no flashy colors, no red, and no black)
The one dollar a yard bolts at Walmart come to mind.
They’re almost all pastels, but I’ve seen a few in very dark green and a few in white. No way is the white random, and I rather doubt any of the colors are, just because every detail of their lives is controlled.
