In my neck of the woods E85 sells for $3.15 while gasoline (having knock rating of 87) sells for $3.389.

That's because E-85 has a .50 cent per gallon Federal tax “subsidy” - while regular gasoline prices contain a .48 cent per gallon state and Federal tax
