Thanks for the history My...did he have Peter Gabriel like connection then? :)
When Gabriel left the band, people panicked. Who could possibly replace him?
It was Phil Collins sitting on drums that had the best voice to approach that of Gabriel. Right under their noses!
Phil did a bang up job in the transition, I saw them that first year Phil took the lead. Sadly he kinda lost his edge as he made Genesis a mega pop band. Of course so did Gabriel
Darn talented fellow.
