Mayhill Fowler has more from Obama's remarks at a San Francisco fundraiser Sunday, and they include an attempt to explain the resentment in small-town Pennsylvania that won't be appreciated by some of the people whose votes Obama's seeking:
You go into these small towns in Pennsylvania and, like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing's replaced them...And they fell through the Clinton Administration, and the Bush Administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not.
And it's not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.
That's pretty broad list of things to explain with job loss.
“He will have the rug pulled out from under him at the convention and then the fireworks (for real) will start.”
It’s amazing how few people realize this.
It’s a bit frightening to consider the effect on a huge percent of blacks who live in a world of delusional and self-pitying thought, that is the natural result of the pandering of the Left for lo these many years.
Heard all about this on the radio last night. It’s nothing to a DemonRat, the only people who matter live in east and west coast cities. Flyover country means less than nothing to them.
I take it back, this guy really is as stupid and ignorant as his skiffy wife.
"Mr. nObama, I'm not your typical white guy but I know of someone who only has bitterness and religion of some sort... Can ya say Rev. Jeremiah?"
So are his supporters. What's new?
I am astounded by the retarded social education in our elite schools. I would have thought Obama knew better than to make such ridiculous comments about small town people.
Couple this latest by Barack Hussein with what his wife says about our not being allowed to be complacent any more, and you have a vision of soft totalitarianism.
Soft only at first, until resistance is met.
“Soft only at first, until resistance is met.”
I think you hit on something there. I think the Obamas are getting bolder and bolder as their march continues. As long as the money keeps pouring in, they will get bolder and bolder and won’t care about what arrogance shows. They will act as if they are invincible.
Obama was on FNC mid-morning, campaigning in Muncie, Ind., attempting to spin his previous remarks about Small Town USA when campaigning near S.F. Not doing a very good job IMO. I doubt this will fly with those small town Democrat voters in the mid-west who were on the fence about voting for him. I think Hillary will win here in PA comfortably after he has been caught showing not only his elitism, but also his disdain for ordinary people.
There is more to Obama’s remarks than the stupid white guy sentiment. He reveals that his own anti-trade remarks were simple pandering to the unions.
The fact that rural towns have not regenerated can be blamed in a large part on the radical environazis. They don’t want rural towns to regenerate, except in their prescribed image. The environazis oppose small family farms, they hate horses and all domestic animals. Heck, they hate people and would prefer that everyone live in little boxes in the big cities and eat soylent green. I read a quote that said that the only species that the left would like to see made extinct are humans.
You missed the disdain that Obama showed for anti-trade voters. There goes the union vote.
And also, this doesn’t look like the original transcript I got re: San Fran either:

I’m not sure the union vote was up for grabs in PA. I think Hillary has it sewed up through Rendell. Not sure what the union situation is nationally, but from what I’ve seen, I think Hillary is in good shape for the most part.
You may be right, but the opposition to free trade is one of the tenets of Liberation Theology and most of the other leftist groups as well.
Barack Obama: Whats the matter with Pennsylvania?

Man those commenters are something else. What he meant was, your twisting his words, we need to have this conversation, he’s so right... I feel exactly that way, you rightwingers are distracting us from real issues like the quagmire, healthcare for all and lastly jobs...
Take out the campaign Obamatrons, the jihadis and socialists from comments, you still have a lot of brainwashed Americans out there.
The guy is a dissembler, he knows exactly what he’s saying, trust me.
Any time I could post a link to al-Jazeera video of them cold calling voters for Obama FROM GAZA and they still don’t get it...
Like I said before, he could lay down a rug at a rally and recite the call to prayer... all of them would drop to their foreheads, no questions.
I didn't realize that, but it figures. At least the left generally preaches that, but the elites they vote for don't pay much attention once elected.
I guess the Columbians are not big US wine drinkers or there would not have been a shutdown of the trade agreement.
Amen.
with the bitterness of unfulfilled political aspirations...
of the millions of Americans in Pennsylvania & throughout the US...
who WILL be voting for Barack Obama.
