Anything’s possible. I don’t think it’s probable.
Simply reporting the facts on the case without additional commentary is disturbing enough. If people are outraged, it’s because of the evil they see, not because of the sensationalism of the media.
“If people are outraged, its because of the evil they see, not because of the sensationalism of the media.”
And yet, they would know NOTHING about this case, without the media.
So, what they see, is what they are being ‘fed’, by the media.
Now, if the media had come out and said that this is only about ONE MALE (who is a convicted sex offender) abusing the RLDS religion for his own purposes, and that the rest of the members of the compound committed no crimes...
There wouldn’t be much of a story, would there?
P.S.
Actually, I think there is much more to this case than the Media has published, so far.
What I am trying to say is that the media will ‘sensationalize’ a story, if it hurts those they want to hurt, and makes them more money.
They will also shut down a story that hurts those whom they want to protect, even if it costs them to do so.
The ONE THING they WILL NOT do is present, unbiased, well-researched and verified news.
