China has lined up 1000's of supporters, while protestors range from Tibetan monks and their supporters, Burmese Monks, other critics of China, and your usual rabble rousers.
They need to get the Britney Spears paparazzi on the case. They’ll be able to get some shots of the torch.
The “Embarkodero” (sp) is now completely blocked by protesters.
Either the police lost control or the course has changed and the cops pulled out.
City bus now pulling up to the warehouse.
This dodge tactic could be a really bad idea - there are gonna be a bunch of frustrated people that may take it out in other ways.

They are so scared of an incident. It’s very important to the Chinese government that they can tell their people that America respects the CCP. For one thing there are many more Chinese in America than those countries and the average Chinese cares much more what America thinks than what UK or France thinks.
They simply cannot bear what happened in London and Paris to repeat itself in America. They would not be able to cover it up and gloss over like they did, and it would be a major embarrassment.

I could see people getting really.. ummm.. upset.
If Medea Benjamin can keep getting into congressional hearings and State of the Union Addresses, than becoming a Chicom “torch runner” should not be a big project for the unemployed, too much time on their hands, lefties...

When the crowd finds out they have been duped there is a real danger of a stampede to catch up with the torch.

Upon his death, Pierre de Coubertin’s heart was cut out of his body and burried in ancient Olympia. It now surrounded by a museum dedicated to the various modern games. The box his heart was trasported in is visible there. About 10x10x10 inches and lined with velvet. Been there and seen that. (nothing really with the whole flame thing but it is a neat link from the future TO the past) He left his heart in Ancient Olympia.
WE should not forget that runners did in fact relay run throughout the Greek City States to let all know it was time for the games again. They work the olive wreath headwear to indicate safe passage and purpose.
The flame is a new addition but the runner him/herself is not new.
This is a circus with no good guys on either side.
Now they are saying the torch has left the building hidden in a bus with runners.. off to the next location.
Man people are gonna be ticked.
