AND NOW . . . amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke. . . it is time for . . . that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, from behind the golden EIB microphone, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-the-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, with talent on loan from G-d, at the cutting-edge of societal evolution, with half his brain tied behind his back just to make it fair, the all-knowing, all-caring, all-sensing, all-feeling, Maha-Rushie! America's Anchorman, Truth Detector, and Doctor of Democracy. He is the man who runs America. He knows the Democrats like every square inch of his glorious naked body. He is ready to do what he was born to do--That's host. Get ready to what you were born to do--That's listen (and post your comments on the Rush Limbaugh LIVE Radio Thread).
I mix peanut butter and maple syrup sometimes
I don't know. I listening to the audio feed on MLB.com.
my skills barely can post.........
I didn't mean any offense.
Thanks for the link.
I’m sorry angcat, children that young shouldn’t even have to know that evil like that exists.
In my radio market, Levin is on from 10pm - 12a. Hannity is 7-10pm.
The are obviously a lot of mind numbed robots that went out and voted the way the gas bag directed them to.
Me, too. I can't take my lunch break for a couple more hours, though! Ugh!
That makes two from Indiana. Is there something in the water?
I've mixed peanut butter and honey, peanut butter and nutella, peanut butter and jelly. I've never mixed peanut butter and maple syrup, except for that fake pancake syrup stuff. LOL!
On the other hand, taking over their country would be as detrimental as Germany's reunification with East Germany. IMHO
peanut + nutella = paella? ;-)
Mmmm.... Paellas are soooooo goooooddd!!!
Exactly. I often thought that, had it been some similar event on the west coast or midwest, I would feel the same sense of outrage.
Having people you know that were murdered that day, and/or having friends who did, intensifies it.
It could not be helped. Just so happens she was home sick from school and well you know the rest. My husband also was calling telling us to evacuate the house because of missing planes and the Nuclear Plant that is nearby. My Mia was a very smart little girl she was not frightened just concerned for her mother at the time. She is 13 now and still does not realize the mortal danger we are in as a country.
My goodness, your mind goes in strange directions! LOL! I don’t think I’ve ever had paella before. Fried rice is the about as close as I get to paella.
Like you, I am inclined to give McCain a pass when he panders to the ignorant class-envious part of the electorate, which is exactly what McCain is doing. (McCain needs to get elected.)
Rush criticizes Obama and Hillary when they engage in the rhetoric of class envy.
Rush would be hypocritical not to point it out when McCain does it.
McCain won the primary over my opposition, too. At this point, I will still be voting for John McCain.
I will probably continue to be disappointed in much of what McCain will do if elected. Rush really can’t hold his fire until that happens because he is still going to have a lot more to say about a President McCain.
Whether it is accurate or not, “Bill Gates and Warren Buffett” are sort of short-hand for “overpaid CEO” in the mind of the general public. In their cases, it is apparently inaccurate. Their personal fortunes are so great, they don’t need the big paychecks any more. So, it appears Rush was wrong on that point.
What I didn't stress before is that I am surprised that most believe Rush Limbaugh has great political influence. I note he so indicates himself; however, Rasmussen reports the following:
Ideology doesnt appear to be the determining factor when it comes to ratings for reporters. While Couric tops the list of favorables, Bill OReilly is in second place at 46%. The highest unfavorables are earned by Rush Limbaugh (62%) and Larry King (46%). Couric (42%) and OReilly (41%) are the only other reporters to top the 40% mark in unfavorables.
Couric (48/42), OReilly (44/41), Tim Russert (43/34), Brian Williams (41/26), Paula Zahn (41/31), Charles Gibson (37/31) and Sean Hannity (37/29) all have higher favorables than unfavorables.
Wolf Blitzer is close to even (36% favorable/35% unfavorable).
Those with higher unfavorable ratings include Larry King (35/46), Rush Limbaugh (26/62), Chris Matthews (26/37), Maureen Dowd (24/28) and Alan Colmes (23/33). Rasmussen Reports will poll on other media figures as the campaign season unfolds.
Overall, then, Rush has only a 26% favorable rating and a 62% unfavorable rating. It is hard to imagine him influencing the electorate except at the margins. That is, if there is a close election between conservatives, he might make a difference. Otherwise, he is not apt to make a difference--especially if he is courting and trying to influence the general population.
The URL for the above is: here.
Clearly, there some conservative-minded listeners who are unhappy with Rush right now. But there are a lot of unhappy conservatives right now in general. I know I am feeling rather pessimistic.
