In our part of Texas fire ants attack ground nesting birds. Where did the fire ants come from? They washed in on rising flood waters. Can’t get anymore natural than that.

Its not “Nature” when people are artificially maintaining a pool of non native small predators by feeding the ‘feral’ cats. If they were truly wild then their population would be a lot lower, but people feed the damn varmints; who then wreak havoc on small native species.

Extinction is perfectly natural, but lets not abdicate our stewardship of the earth just because of that.
