And yet you cannot even whisper this in mixed political circles without being told how "ridiculous" it is to even talk about the possibility that gay marriage opens the door to incestuous marriage, child marriage, group marriage, etc.

In fact, advocates for the above positions insist that they are the "next frontier" in "civil rights." I am not unalterably opposed to same-sex marriage; I just want it coupled with a black-letter certainty that this is the end, and that there are no more "frontiers" in marriage.

Because, if gay marriage is not the end of civilization, incestuous marriage and the others certainly are.
