I come here to FR to get away from the endless fascination some other sites have with everything that the Kossacks and the DUmbasses have to say about anything and everything; but still things like this pop up here from time to time.
A portion of the time the posts that show up at Kos and DU are flamebait that is deliberately posted by agitators from some of the alternative so-called “underground” sites (and their many, many spinoffs) who have made good sport of this kind of activity for years. Just like we get left-wing agitators trolling FR, Kos and DU get the same treatment (although a lot more effectively...) from our side. I know of several DU trollers who have been posting inflammatory and disrespectful articles like this for years; in fact I think I recognize a particular writing style in this one...
Kos and DU try to zot the most obvious agitators but they have never rooted out all of the deep-cover Right wing cyber-commandos that still haunt their websites posting inflammatory things just like this article, in order to attract the most outrageous and stupid replies as possible. I know a few of these people who have been doing this for years, and first honed their skills doing this stuff back during the campaigns for the 2000 elections.
I would not be surprized to find a post on one of the alleged Conservative “underground” sites, claiming responsibility for this post, detailing all of the stupid responses to it, and bragging about how clever the perp is.
Given Charlton Heston’s popularity among Conservatives, and the speed at which this particular post went up on Kos, I give it pretty good odds that this was flamebait of the type I described.
In any case, I really don’t give a big rat’s ass what anyone at Kos or DU says about anything. I hang here at FR to discuss what Freepers think, not what Freepers think about Kos and DU...

I'm a regular FR poster and I usually refer to her thighness as "bitch" and never consider that to be profanity.
To equate the usual postings on FR to the usual postings on DU is irrational and impossible to substantiate.
There are singular posts that are crude {and some maybe profane} that the mods don't remove, but they are the exception, not the norm.
This moral equivalence that you are trying to draw between FR and DU doesn't pass the smell test.
Heston’s passing is a legit news item that made headlines on all the major news sites like Yahoo. It would have been odd if it hadn’t been quickly posted at the political forums. I doubt it was a mole that posted it at DU, but even if it were, it would have gotten the same response from them.
Keep in mind, these are the same folks that applauded when Georgia Clooney said “Good” when told of Heston’s ALS diagnosis.
The Mike Moore took the shots at him in Bowling for Columbine, I can’t get angry at them, only pity them.

I went to the link but can not tell who authored this piece. I want that person to stop calling these anti-American sub-humans “Kossacks”! “Cossacks” were a martial people famous for their self-reliance, patriotism and military skills, particularly horsemanship. “Kossacks” are the polar opposites . . . metrosexual, anti-patriot, dependents with NO martial skills whatsoever. And their only association with horses would be more aligned with non-consenting sexual acts.
That these vile people feel threatened by a real — albeit, dead — man is no surprise.
And Aqualad08 would have a cardiac if he found that during one of the LA Riots his liberal actor 'heroes' were calling Heston to borrow guns for protection from the rioting blacks. Heston in effect told them to go to hell.

Beautifully put. I've worked around liberals for many years in their Mecca of Washington, DC. That describes them perfectly. They are superiorists through and through who routinely belittle common folk. Leftists love to hate.
