Probably about as well as the “Grammar Police”
One particular poster (a long time FReeper, I might add) would delight in going to all the threads he could to point out people’s mistakes.
First time and only time I became a stalker. After he flamed me on a particularly bad day where all I wanted was an adult break from the colicy baby, I followed him and just posted “Grammar Police” in replies to his nasty posts.
He stopped after a day or so.
What have you got against the Mods? They volunteer to police the duplicates/triplicates/quadruplicates/etc. Why shouldn't comments about a particular story be centralized as best as possible?
The reason I'm saying this is because I use FR as more of a research tool and less of a chat room. It's nice when people take the effort to find an earlier thread, and bump it instead of posting a new one. It's easier for them, too.
I understand wire stories get posted with different headlines and such but still . . . and if you spend any time on the Articles page you don't need to miss a thing.
