Rush is justifying “Operation Chaos” by suggesting that since Democrats routinely play around with some Republican primaries (I believe the Kos folks did something similar) this is an acceptable thing for conservatives to do.

This is Rush's tongue-in-cheek reason for Operation Chaos. His actual reason which he has explained many times is that the Republican nominee and party establishment are going to do absolutely nothing to attack the Democrat nominee in any way, especially if it is Obama. Thus in order to mount some, any, sort of opposition to having a Democrat shepherded through unscathed right to the White House, the voters themselves are going to have to take it into their own hands. As normal citizens without any sort of bully pulpit, the only real weapon Republican voters have left is their vote. If the Party wasn't so bloody impotent, they're would be no need for this. That's Rush's actual explanation.

One cannot compare the influence of — at most — a couple million KosKidz to Rush’s enormous audience.

Yes, but it's not a couple million KosKidz that are doing the damage. It's the entire mainstream media who actively, vigorously, and successfully whittled down all the even possibly acceptible candidates in the Republican primary field until by either attacking them incessantly or ignoring them completely. That's what conservatives are fighting against, not a couple million readers of an idiotic blog.

(Incidentally, I did not participate in Operation Chaos when I voted, but that was mainly because I couldn't stand the thought of standing in line at the polls with a bunch of smelly, ugly, crazy Democrats for more than a few minutes in close quarters.) :)

Until Obama became a god and was running behind in the polls, I thought about voting against Hillary in the Democrat Primary in Texas. But Obama got hyped and Rush announced his own crossover strategy, so I voted in the Republican Primary. I did vote for the black candidate for President, Alan Keyes, who was among the last conservatives still in the race.

I wouldn’t have felt good about doing ANYTHING to empower either of those Marxists vying for the DemocRat nomination by way of voting FOR either of them.
