I had mostly women teachers, mostly good teachers and mostly no nonsense teachers. However, in fifth grade we had a stone fox teacher who we loved so much we wouldn't giver her any trouble. And she was smart and fun so she got us to study even though it was her first year. Mostly got us to study except I did make some great rubber balls with rubber cement by grabbing it from the cupboard when she wasn't looking. That kind of began to spoil us.

Sixth grade was the last year of grade school though and we were looking to raise cane as a last hoorah. We knew we were out of there the next year. There were four or maybe five of us who had been best friends since fourth grade or earlier all in one class. Giving us an idealistic first year male teacher was insane. Naturally, being sixth grade boys, we were insane.

I remember my 6th grade teacher was a male & he brought a tv in so he didn't miss the baseball games. He was very nice and always had a red nose. I don't think he taught us a whole lot though. He would just say read this & then do the ditto. I loved art class though & had a great art teacher.
