Okay, let’s compromise-—I’ll expand my definition of dimwit to include anyone who continues to insist that performance on a standardized test indicates anything other than a minimal amount of proficiency at doing what the standardized test was designed to test. Next up: good MCAS scores mean a lifetime batting average of .350 or better.

Hey, it isn't just SAT scores that prove that so many public school teachers are dimwits. Why else would they keep making the same mistakes again and again and why else would they have such disdain for knowledge? Why else would they keep on churning out generation after generation of poorly educated graduates who can barely read, write or count. They have nothing but contempt for the concept of teaching basic math skills, denigrating memorization as “drill and kill”. As per your definition, they are dimwits. Wouldn't the Dimwit Theory explain why American school children perform so poorly compared to other nations?
