If you think using the Presidential election to make a statement is the answer, then you're attacking the wrong end of the problem. You have to work from the inside out - encourage your kids to be teachers and journalists and lawyers so they are set to get into positions where they can be an influence. And get involved in your own community, for crying out loud. Have a plan that addresses the long term.
All I'm seeing here is a group hissy-fit, the solution to which is self-imposed isolation - which amounts to conceding defeat.
Stepping back and looking at it objectively (as best as I can). It seems that we have already lost.
All three candidates are poisonous. The question is, which poison can we survive if we take it. The problem is that it is impossible to predict the future. My guess is that McCain would implement the socialist agenda with no opposition. Obama or Hillary would at least face opposition from the Republicans and a few Democrats.
Conservatives couldn't unite so we lost, it is as simple as that. I fear that supporting a traitor to conservatism is worse than facing a known enemy.
Very well said. May I use that in the future?
