Well to use your analogy....this year it’s a matter of who we conservatives choose to abuse us. At least McCain is pro-life and defense. Hopefully he’ll choose a good VP to take over in the likely event he can’t finish his term. And I feel slightly hopeful that he’ll chose decent Supreme Court judges. We have ZERO chance of this with HRC or BO

Do you really think we’ll suffer less abuse from Hillary or Obama?? We won’t but maybe some conservatives will feel quite self-righteous about sitting home with their arms crossed on election day... despite the horrid consequences.

Based on his previous history, when he appoints Ginsburg clones, I hope conservatives aren't too shocked.

Also, MacCain will be a one-termer. He's already got one foot in the grave, so he'll want to establish his legacy immediately, and the simplest way to do that is to collude with congressional house and Senate democrats. By conspiring with them, he'll not need the Republicans, many of whom will go along with him anyway because he bears the magical "R", which guarantees that otherwise intelligent, conservative men and women put aside their critical thinking and support legislation they'd have opposed if a democrat President had proposed it.

Meanwhile the MSM will praise President MacCain for having grown beyond party loyalty and for reaching across the aisle to do the country's business. All the while real conservative programs will go wanting.

Don't think it'll happen??? Just look at MacNutJob's history in the Senate and you'll see what he'll be doing as President?

And, BTW, with Hillary or Obama, at least we'd know what to expect, and house and Senate GOPers would know to oppose programs and legislation that with MacQueeg they'd support. So, in short, I remain unconvinced that we're better of with MacQueeg.
