The day that McCain is officially nominated as the GOP Presidential Candidate is the very same day that I leave the Republican Party. Or, more correctly, the Republican Party will have left me. Throughout my nearly 2 decades of conservative activism within the Republican Party in Arizona, McCain proved himself to be a constant irritant and outright enemy. I can not be a member of a party who would nominate McCain as President. I will not stay in a party that is committing suicide. That's it - I'm out.

I respect your decision, Spiff, but I will continue fighting RINO's like McCain from within. McCain is the worst nominee we could have, but as a registered Republican my protest letters to RNC, McCain and other RINO politicians let them know that Republicans want conservative values, not RINOism.
Again, my FRiend, I respect your decision and completely understand it. I hope you understand my staying for now.
Jim, great speech. Nobody could have articulated our feelings any better.
