Amnesty and global warming are my sticking issues. Perhaps if he chooses a real rock ribbed conservative as a VP I would vote for him. Otherwise, I think we are so screwed there is no point in doing any more than writing in Hunter.

The saddest part of this is, it didn’t have to be. 6 months ago I didn’t think any Republican had much chance to win in 08. Now a golden opportunity is handed to them and we have—him as our nominee. What a tragedy for the country.

Unless McPain picks one heck of a running mate, it looks like I’m going to be voting third-party this November.

If conservatives bolt, McCain will have to go further left to get another voting block. That's not good for the Republican Party or for the country. One of three will be our president. I am voting for McCain....at least my values will stay closer to me than if the other two were elected.

BTW, thanks for a great forum site. This is awesome.

Just because McCain apologists proclaimed the alternative, is perhaps several generations of Americans living the darkest halls of Mordor for real, doesn’t mean they’re not correct in that concern...

I will honestly say from reading the forums here in the past couple of weeks, that many conservatives are sitting this one out and the outcome could be very frightening indeed.

Of course, the outcome is already frightening to many Conservatives, anyway you slice it... Just an observation.

Our current choices Barracks Hussein Obama and Senor John McCaniac, yuk! spitooie! barf!

Barry Husseine Obama is Step an Fetch-it with charm.

The guy has done absolutely nothing during his life time except talk his way up the proverbial ladder of politics.

How any thinking non airhead voter could caste a vote for Obama is beyond my scope of reasoning.

Barry wants to blow off implications that his mentor of 20 years the Reverend Wright has not made in roads into persuading him to the far left of Mao or Stalin.

The racists, hate mongering Reverend Wright is a Robert Mugabe in preachers garb.

God help America and especially conservatives if Obama does get elected cause ain't no man on this green earth will be able to repair the damage that will be done to this great country.

Senor John McCaniac.

He will probably get elected but unlike most I believe that Conservatives will grow stronger knowing that we did not do enough in the primaries to support our candidates.

Truth is McCaniac should not be even close to being our candidate but conservatives trying to play nice or else asleep or apathetic let this guy slip in to take over.

I want to know, where is our conservative leadership?

The only conservatives I know by name showing any kind of leadership ability are Rush Limbaugh and Jim Robinson.

Were are our leaders, who will step up and take control of some 30 million conservatives begging to be led?

Inquiring minds want to know.

We cant control McStain. Maybe if we vote in the Dem, and pin all the fall out on them, then maybe we win next time around.

Exactly. I consider his "cap-in-trade"/ global warming idiocy to be just as great a threat to our freedom as islamofascism.

Our only hope, IMHO, is to let him know loud and clear that he better be on our side when it counts. I'll give him a chance, but if I don't see results I'll actively campaign against him next time, even if it means voting for a dim just to get rid of him.

Rush is one of the best things conservatives have going right now. Rush hasn’t endorsed McCain.

Brilliant strategy.

1949. General Chiang Kai-Shek had that very same idea...

"I didn’t care much for George W. Bush either but I voted for him. Same goes for his father."

They've got you where they want you, voting for men you detest because you detest the other candidate more. And this is quite a problem for America, because for just as long as we continue doing this, they will continue stacking the White House with men, (or women), who will eventually destroy America as we know it. A nation can only survive for so long with an endless procession of bad leaders. Only when there is unity again in the U.S. will we be able to restore America to her former power and glory, but we've got men like Hussein Obama working very hard to ensure that unity never happens, and dimwits like McCain trying to dupe Republicans into believing he's conservative, and trying to dupe Democrats into believing he's liberal. In other words, he stands for nothing, believes nothing, and is nothing. I won't be voting for "nothing". I'll be doing a write-in for somebody, probably Duncan Hunter.
