How many Republican nominees have lived up to your fantasy shopping list in the last 40 years? Pretty much all of them. I disagreed with both of the Bushes and Dole on perhaps 30% of the issues that were important to me. That is a small enough number that I could support them. Plus, they are all men of good character. I disagree with McCain on about 70% of the issues that I care about, which is too much for me to be able to support him. Plus, he is not a man of good character.
