Cynicism is a prime tool of those who can only attempt to appear sophisticated and informed. And cynicism is one of the worst sins.
Some people on this site mew, “Yes, McCain has a good war record, but......”
No, he doesn’t just have a “good war record”.
He and his fellow prisoners UPHELD the HONOR of America and of EVERYONE in it - including progenitors and descendants.
And, yes, including even the anonymous keyboard warriors on this site and other sites whose anonymity and technological toys enable them to casually slander good people, many of whose lives have gone to making possible the liberty of these very unfortunates.
By all means, criticize McCain’s policies, his governmental record. But do it dispassionately and accurately. Else be seen as nothing more than a coward. McCain’s sins are better known to him than to us; and all of us - everyone - will be similarly sorted out not far down the line.

I oppose McCain because he has betrayed the Republican Party and conservatives at every step in recent years.
I oppose McCain because he takes large sums of money from an enemy of my country and our Constitution, George Soros.
I oppose John McCain because he has NO regard for the God-given and therefore unalienable rights to life and liberty, and because he is at the forefront of those who are eviscerating the Bill of Rights.
I oppose John McCain because he is trying to reward tens of millions of foreign nationals who have invaded my country with one of the most precious possessions any human being can have: American citizenship - thereby destroying my nation’s sovereignty and the rule of law, and creating a demographic, economic and political nightmare that my children may never recover from.
I oppose John McCain because he loves my enemies and hates me and my friends.
I oppose John McCain because he cynically lies and panders to naive citizens, all the while laughing his ass off at them with his leftwing buddies in politics and the press.
I oppose John McCain because he gives support to the global socialists and their grab for complete power through the propagation of the global warming myth.
I oppose John McCain because he helped give new life to the Law of the Sea Treaty, which will greatly damage my country and its sovereignty, while giving UN bureaucrats taxing authority for the very first time ever, and massive control over a majority of the earth’s surface. All with no accountibility or reference to constitutional self-government.
