I don't spam McCain threads with the same photos and/or comments over and over; I don't insult his supporters (although it seems hypocritical to whine about that while simultaneously insulting his detractors); I don't smear his war record or his record of service; I don't make allegations about his treatment of POWs in Vietnam. But I still can't support him; I have too many knives stuck in my back with his fingerprints on them for that.
Some folks on FR have used this time to learn more about Johnny, realize that he isn’t as bad as they thought, grow up, act like adults, and get in gear to vote for him.
I have learned plenty about him. He's every bit as bad as I thought. And I've heard enough whining about how I need to "grow up" and do what McCain supporters want me to. I still don't understand why McCain and his supporters seem to think insulting and attacking conservatives is a good way to gain their support. But keep drinking that kool-aid.
I have no intention of shutting up. I'm not on FR to toe the McCain line; I'm here to discuss news and politics from the perspective of my worldview and my principles. McCain lines up poorly with my ideas, and I intend to continue discussing that fact.
You know, now that I think about this, I've seen very little vitriol on FR directed at McCain supporters. I've seen plenty (including this "Breaking News" vanity) directed from his supporters at the rest of us though. I think you may be experiencing the psychological phenomenon known as projection.
