Sorry about how long it has taken to respond. We have been spending most of our time at a Combat Outpost (COP) and internet connectivity isn’t the best. Frequently the satellite dish goes out and when it is up, it is very slooooow.
We did indeed get the cans of potato chips. I have never heard of most of these flavors. My guys very much enjoyed them. Please give her [mathluv] our thanks for the thoughtul package.
I read Red Mars already. I thought it was a very good book. Although I’m not too sure about some of the social aspects of the book. ...
I am now reading ...The Gods Themselves. I haven’t gotten too far into it, but so far the story is very fascinating. I had a hard time putting it down last night. I did have a hard time turning off the light last night, but fortunately today is an easy day at the FOB. I have heard of the History of English Speaking Peoples and very much look forward to reading it. I have also heard about John Adams. Someone recently told me that it was a very good mini series.
I really can’t think of anything that we might need right away. The Corn Nuts [from JustAmy] were delicious though. That went really quick.

I noticed that our local Walmart had the summer sales on school supplies going, so I got 30 boxes of crayons to send to the school kids in Baghdad.
If anybody would like to send out some school supplies for the Iraqi kids before the end of this month, please let me know so I can give you the APO.
My laptop is on its last legs and I’m going to have to get a new one. I will try to keep in touch through this jerry rigged one or my hubby’s until I get the new laptop and have it programmed, but probably won’t be on line very much till then.
Battle Company had their transport out of Afghanistan stop lost by visit from Presidential Candidate, and didn’t know why they were stop lost till He had left the country. Big relief to all that they now are back in line for transport home.
