Watching the parade of apologists for Rev. Wrights hatredgarlic noses; KKK of A; God Damn America; Condamnesia; the U.S. deserved 9/11; America is no different from al-Qaeda; we caused the AIDs virus; Israel is a dirty word and sought an Arab and black ethnic bomb, etcis, well, depressing.
Instead of offering distance from Wright, far too many African-American professors and pastors interviewed on the cable stations the last few nights instead praised his brilliance and inspiration.
At best, there was a feeble you just dont get it about the venting and wink-and-nod culture of the black church.
But the net message from the African-American liberal establishment, at least I fear, seems to be something like the following: Wright is not going to offer an apology and we arent embarrassed about his ranting, which is not ranting at all, but rather historical and biblical exegesis which we endorse.

All of this Revrum Wrong/Nobama stuff has moved the rotten log to reveal the pests and vermin that has been seething among blacks for decades. No amount of money or ethnic entitlements will assuage their hate and contempt for white Americans.
The Drivebys can nuance this any way they want, but the message and behavior is strikingly clear and unequivocal. We are headed toward (I hate to say it) a race war. It might no be all violent, indeed, much of it will be political/legislative. Nevertheless, America is about to witness civil unrest on a level she has never seen before.

I am reserving judgment until the Republicans prove they’re bright enough to take advantage of the imploding Dems, instead of sticking with the usual tiresome RINO “We Suck Less” mentality.

HAd they been a victim, or of the victims close families, they would not only not agree, they would be horrified. I'm pretty sure that they would still blame America and Pres. Bush for 9/11.

“I hope not.”
I hope not, too. But, just look at how the black clergy galvanized around racial identity and unity, rather than objective reasoning. They sell victimization - that’s their product, without which they’d lose their parishioners and incomes.

If Hillary unleashes her resources to steal the nomination, she will destroy the Democrat Party by running off their most loyal constituency.
History will show that the Clintons virtually killed the Democrat Party and they couldn't care less.

In any case, I will absolutely NOT vote for McCain.

Well said. The defense by the black intelligensia that whites "don't get it" is a demand that Wright and other black racists be held to a different (lower) standard than the rest of the population. The complaint that Wright's remarks were taken out of context is a ruse - there is no context, except that he was talking to a (presumably entirely) black audience who affirm his hateful remarks.
I hope you are wrong about this - I am hopeful that the dialog will take the country full circle to the original premise of the civil rights movement - everyone gets treated with dignity, fairness and respect (both legally, political and personally) as long as they comport themselves as good citizens. The conclusion is that blacks will have to own up to their own complicity in their situation today. The sad reality that there are more black men in prison today than in college cannot be entirely the fault of evil White America and the deck it deliberately stacks against Black America.

For goodness sake, this is a primary. Just the same ol' crap again. The democrat party is far from destroyed. You're right. I'm ahead of myself.
That was a forecast, not 'current news'.
Do you not think there will be a revolt among the blacks if Hillary gets the nomination after all this?
Of course the Clintons are probably already planning a scenario where they can make it look like the evil conservatives somehow did it.

“The sad reality that there are more black men in prison today than in college cannot be entirely the fault of evil White America and the deck it deliberately stacks against Black America.”
I believe that statement has since been debunked. However, if blacks commit a disproportionate amount of convictable offenses, they should be in prison. But, the black mantra is that “whitey” juries disproportionately convict black criminals. There is a sea of difference between these two belief systems.
