The best is yet to come, as is the worst so far as the series is concerned. Personal favorites are "Flashman and the Great Game", "Flashman and the Indians", "Flashman and the Dragon". Weakest, IMHO, are "Flashman's Lady" and "Flashman on the March".

BTW, Fraser died last New Years, so we'll never know what Flashman did during the U.S. Civil War. Disappointing.

I've just been re-reading the Flashman series in chronological order. They are as marvelous and entertaining as I had remembered them to be. Flashman and the Great Game is without a doubt, the very best of the series and in fact, one of the very best books Ive ever read.
