I have been away reom that stuff for more than 20 years, but could still make 3 phone calls in 5 minutes and get all the info I needed, with the offer of on site verification for a small fee plus expenses.

FBI...feeble buracratic idiots.

Yep. - $200,000 in 1971 is equivalent to about $2,000,000 today.

1971 Corvette Convertible base price - $5,259.

2007 Corvette Convertible base price - $52,910.

You could buy a new starter home for $15,000.
Average house price was $25,000

Regular gas at the local discounter was between $ .21 - $.29 cents a gallon.

Cigarettes were $ .28 to $ .32 a pack - much cheaper in NC.

Bread was about $ .20 a loaf.
