I'm Batman.
You mean if he came down in a wooded area and missed the trees.
Someone refresh my memory - was D.B. Cooper his real name, or was that just a fake name he used during the hijacking?
DBCooper may be a troll, VK alert? :)
I understood it was an alias.
Back in the mid-70s, there was a bar in Seattle’s Fremont district called D.B. Cooper’s, featuring a parachute canopy spread out above the stage. After that, I think it became a gay bar called Bananas. I don’t know what’s there now, or even if the building is still standing.
Woohoo, blast from the past, Mothers/Zappa style...
I have been away reom that stuff for more than 20 years, but could still make 3 phone calls in 5 minutes and get all the info I needed, with the offer of on site verification for a small fee plus expenses.
FBI...feeble buracratic idiots.
Shoot, I just did a ZabaSearch and found DB alive and well living in Woodland Washington.
Oh, so on top of hijacking and extortion you're suggesting he didn't pay taxes on his ill-gotten gains?
You have a pretty cynical view of your fellow man...
Yep. - $200,000 in 1971 is equivalent to about $2,000,000 today.
1971 Corvette Convertible base price - $5,259.
2007 Corvette Convertible base price - $52,910.
You could buy a new starter home for $15,000.
Average house price was $25,000
Regular gas at the local discounter was between $ .21 - $.29 cents a gallon.
Cigarettes were $ .28 to $ .32 a pack - much cheaper in NC.
Bread was about $ .20 a loaf.
I always use a T-10 or T-11...whatever it takes.
I'm DB Cooper. No! I am DB Cooper, NO! I am DB Cooper. You Can't be DB Cooper, cause I am DB Cooper.
For $200,000 which one is the real DB Cooper?
That's close. In reality, we are the news.
Nah . . . we made a Ditto master and rolled off lots of purple, nasty-smelling copies!
(I was talking about what they're doing NOW, instead of making a list of the serial numbers. They still mark the bills though.)
“Two men say they’re Jesus - one of ‘em must be wrong . . . “
My ‘68 Firebird, off the showroom floor (350, OHC, tach. on the hood ... sweeet!) ... $3,050.
re: I always use a T-10 or T-11...whatever it takes.
Thank you, D.B. Cooper number two. Don’t call us, we’ll call you!
Beats having to try to solve any current and active cases involving active & ongoing criminal activity.
Heck, just picking any random Democrat pol....
Look at the waste of money trying to find Jimmy Hoffa. His body, that is.
Wouldn't the resources be better spent on tracking down one of the estimated 40-60 serial killers on the prowl any given year?
