Hillary Clinton may not realize it yet, but shes just endured one of the worst weeks of her campaign.
First, Barack Obama weathered the Rev. Jeremiah Wright affair without serious damage to his nomination prospects. Obama still holds a tiny lead among Democrats nationally in the Gallup tracking poll, just as he did before this whole affair blew up.
Second, Obamas lawyers successfully prevented re-votes in Florida and Michigan. That means it would be virtually impossible for Clinton to take a lead in either elected delegates or total primary votes.
Third, as Noam Scheiber of The New Republic has reported, most superdelegates have accepted Nancy Pelosis judgment that the winner of the elected delegates should get the nomination. Instead of lining up behind Clinton, theyre drifting away. Her lead among them has shrunk by about 60 in the past month, according to Avi Zenilman of Politico.com.
In short, Hillary Clintons presidential prospects continue to dim. The door is closing. Night is coming. The end, however, is not near.
Last week, an important Clinton adviser told Jim VandeHei and Mike Allen (also of Politico) that Clinton had no more than a 10 percent chance of getting the nomination. Now, shes probably down to a 5 percent chance.
Five percent.
Lets take a look at what shes going to put her party through for the sake of that 5 percent chance: The Democratic Party is probably going to have to endure another three months of daily sniping. For another three months, well have the Carvilles likening the Obamaites to Judas and former generals accusing Clintonites of McCarthyism. For three months, well have the daily round of résumé padding and sulfurous conference calls. Well have campaign aides blurting blue dress and only-because-hes-black references as they let slip their private contempt.

Mr. Limbaugh is smarter than the left gives him credit for: You don’t climb to the top of your field with a high school diploma unless there is something there. No one else on radio has an audience in excess of 15 million listeners. That tells me something.
Remember the words of Napoleon: “Apre moi, les Deluge”.
I pray that one day she is haunted by the realization that most people really do despise her.
Getting impeached would be the least of his troubles.
His time above ground would be short, short, short.

The Secret Service will never permit it.
Thank you, hands! I appreciate that...
The last days. Es sein rüber.
Hello ! Rasmussen a non Dem media poll has Clinton ahead .
That's it in a nutshell right there. Obama must be destroyed or the Hildabeast's dreams of the Presidency are toast. And the five month thing -- it's incredible, simply incredible, that there's still that long to go. Ther front-loading of the primaries is a disgrace. Not that it'll stop me from enjoying the Democrat fratricide.
They may call him a “conservative” but that doesn’t make him one, now does it? The only real conservative at the New York Times is the newly installed Bill Kristol. Let’s see how long that lasts (my guess—less than a year). What say you?
Hillary really has only one chance at the presidency. Clinton fatigue syndrome is real, both inside and outside the Democrat party. She won’t take the VP slot. She’s gonna pull out all the stops.
and we have 30 more sermons from Trinity Church ‘til Nov.
In its original form Operation Chaos was to have GOP voters cross over and vote for Obama in the primary. Dumb idea and it's not working (thank God).
If there's any chaos, it's all being done to the dems by the dems. But, as Rush says, 'it's all showbiz and very entertaining.'
Enjoy your popcorn and hope Hillary doesn't become POTUS because you voted for her.
