I was wrong. The detective was shot in the lower back. This all happened about 2 blocks from where I work. I don't think the perp was a local as the Spaghetti Warehouse is 1 block from one of the largest police stations in the 'burgh. Also, there was another fatal shooting about 4 blocks from this one on the same night(Friday).
