I have a hard time calling McCain's win fair and square the way Crist came in at the last moment and BS’ed a Fla. victory for him.

I agree. McCain’s ‘Win’ was founded upon Pluralities of less than 40% with winner take all rules. He is a minority candidate even among his own electorate, a fact that will show itself in the General Election.
