They are now discussing Mrs. Clinton’s liberalism coming from her Methodist church.

I doubt that is where she got infected. People tend to get converted to Liberalism elsewhere but then find a church which confirms their already established beliefs. Sitting in a hostile environment and listening to a lie week after week will usually do that to you so one tends to go and stay where one is comfortable. Therefore, one will find liberal churches full of Liberals.

In my observation and experience a true believer tends to look at church differently than just a nice place to park on Sunday morning.

I used to belong to the United Methodist Church yet remained a staunch Conservative despite the obvious Liberal bias of the church and it's pastors. It didn't make a huge difference because I didn't take the whole religion thing too seriously and, besides, I was raised in that church.

In fact, my last pastor (and his pastor wife) were both huge Liberals and big antiwar demonstrators and "peace" activists. They used to take certain Sundays off to go listen to all the antiwar sermons being preached at the Riverside Church in New York City. Nonetheless, I stayed and got into rather heated discussions with them on their political views - but I was always hopeful of changing their minds (fat chance!).

My perpective radically changed, though, when I got saved. Once I saw the Gospel for what it genuinely is, I could no longer stay and pretend where I sat in the pew didn't make a difference any more while all the while trying to make political converts out of apostates. I had to leave and go to a church which preached and believed the Bible - not some radical form of social gospel. It was no longer about politics or other superficial reasons. It was about Truth.

But, people who aren't really saved (Hillary? Obama?) don't necessarily know or care about the difference. They can stay around for the socialization and unBiblical preaching and not care. It is especially true if they agree with whatever tripe is being preached.

I guess that brings us back to Obama again, doesn't it...?
