Joe McCarthy actually performed a great service to this nation by turning the spotlight on Communist activities within the government and entertainment industry. Yes, he went overboard.
However, I cannot think of a similarly important contribution made by Bill Clinton. Therefore, I believe that McCarthy has been slandered here.
