Pennsylvania Voters Switching to Dems in Droves, Despite Online Glitch
Pittsburg Post Gazette ^ | 3/21/08 | Tom Barnes

HARRISBURG -- The Rendell administration is scurrying to fix a glitch in an online voter registration form, a flaw that could permit the unauthorized disclosure of some people's driver's license numbers and the last four digits of their Social Security numbers.

Mrs. Amoros said thousands of people have been signing up to vote in recent weeks -- either first-time voters or those who want to switch their registration to Democrat so they can take part in the April 22 political showdown between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.

"It's just been incredible, the number of people changing to Democrat," said Mrs. Amoros.

The nine counties that showed the largest percentage increases in Democrats over the past six months were mainly in two areas of the state, the Philadelphia suburbs and the central region of the state, an area known historically for being conservative and having many more Republicans than Democrats.

Statewide, there are now 3,994,605 Democrats, or 111,000 more than last November's total of 3,883,378.

Hell yeah. It worked very well to keep the Hildabeast alive, and now it’s probably to our advantage to keep Obama hanging by a thread.

I agree!!! We have to make sure that he is either the nominee or that the Dem party fractures itslf if they don't give it to him.

But when the Dems lose, you KNOW they’re going to scream FRAUD, FRAUD, FRAUD and they’ll point to the large number of registered Dems. I don’t know if I like this...

I would caution Republicans to FIRST look at the local GOP races to see if you need to vote in the GOP primary. There almost always are such races.

With the low turnout, conservatives can take back local positions and nominations in the GOP.

“I am in PA and was going to switch to vote for Obama to knock ole Hill out, but after this past week, I am not sure he would be any better than Hill, whereas I did before.”

Obama will be better only in that he will lose bigger.

Here’s all any Conservative needs to know about Barrack Hussein Obama:

Special Interest Group Ratings:

Planned Parenthood - 100% Support
National Right To Life - 0% Support
NARAL - 100% Support
Americans for Tax Reform - 0% Support
ACLU - 83% Support
NEA - 100% Support
NOW Hags - 100% Support
Citizens Against Government Waste - 13% Support
Gun Owners of America - 0% Support
NRA - “F” Rating
Federation for American Immigration Reform - 0% Support
US Border Patrol - 8% Support
Unions - 82% - 100% Support
Population Connection - 100% Support (These are the ‘Zero Growth’ freaks)

[Barrack Hussein Obama’s record in the Illinois senate:]

- Opposed the Defense of Marriage Act; would work to repeal it in the U.S. Senate; would not vote for any legislation that would restrict the ability of gays and lesbians to marry.
- Opposed the Born Alive Infant Protection Act four times in Illinois. A similar bill passed the U.S. Senate 98-0. The Born Alive bill would have prohibited a baby from being born alive but left to die according to the mother’s wishes. Obama inexplicably opposed this bill not once, twice, or three times, but four times.
- Obama took almost $90,000 in bundled contributions from the Council for a Livable World. The council is a well-known anti-defense organization.
- Obama puts rigid ideology before what’s best for the people of Illinois, and presumably he would do that as President as well. He has on several occasions made public his opposition to the NAFTA trade agreement and his belief that it must be negotiated. All the while thanks to NAFTA, Illinois exports $1.3 billion in agricultural goods to Canada.
- Obama refused to vote for a bill in the Illinois State Senate that would have increased penalties for drug traffickers.
- Obama voted against a bill that would have delivered the death penalty to gang members who murder first responders.
- Finally, just in case you thought it couldn’t get any worse, Obama was the only member of the Illinois State Senate to vote against a bill that prohibited early release for sexual predators.

I agree, operation chaos should vote for Obama here. The goal is to keep the Hillary margin lower than blowout proportion. Hillary can’t win the pledged delegates, her only chance is to get the popular vote edge. If she can’t get that edge, Obama should be the nominee. Last week, before the Wright case, Obama would be very tough to beat, but now - with his white granny, to the typical white person quotes, let alone the “god damn Amerika” video - he is a lot more beatable...he may have the young, the white liberals, but the working class whites (the Reagan Democrats) will have a hard time to vote for a candidate pro-affirmative action, talking them down as typical white persons etc etc...We want to keep the beast fighting for the long haul to bloody up Obama, but utlimately Obama would be a more beatable candidate in the general vs McCain.

So his “blame whitey for making us blackies be racist” speech moved you ? That’s just sad.

In all honesty, I don’t believe that Obama is a White hater.I listened to his whole speech and I was moved by him....I’m a Republican who despises the rotten clintons with all my heart...... My hat’s of to Obama, he has my respect, however he won’t get my vote in the general election. It has nothig to do with race either..... I've respected your postings for many years. Expect for this one.

If she gets the nomination she will win. Obamas minister problem will be seen as the reason he lost it and will be blamed on the Hannitys and Limbaughs. You can take that to the bank. There is a much better chance Clintons supporters will sit home or vote McCain than the other way around.

If McCain wins the Republican Party will go Liberal/Progressive. If he loses, the Republican Party gets a big message.

If Hillary wins and implements half of what she wishes it will shock America, maybe to the point where they have had enough of modern liberal/progressivism.

Of course, either could take down the country with all the libs in the house/senate and packing the supreme court, but I would rather have it blamed where it belongs than on the Grand Old Party.

That’s a great point. It’s also a point that could be rendered moot were the citizens of this country to act like citizens and not subjects. If the vast majority of voting adults were involved in the future of their country, cross-overs wouldn’t have as much effect, and we might not be faced with the 3-way disaster we’re looking at today.

You could probably go up to any person and get them to complain about gas prices, taxes, etc. But the percentage of those people who are actively involved in electing people to deal with their concerns would be a mere fraction. So long as most people are semi-comfortable, they’re perfectly fine with ignoring the direction we’re heading.

Too bad most people aren’t as involved as everyone here.

That’s just nuts. McCain will be a one term President and maybe the conservatives will get their act together and put forth a serious and electable candidate. McCain will not do as much damage to the country as either of the other two.
