We stayed in Japan and South Korean to keep the Chinese in check. We stayed in Germany and now Poland to keep the Russians in check. And we will stay in Iraq and Afghanistan to keep the Chinese, Russians and Iran in check. Would the libertarians have us pull out of these regions and sell our navy for scrap? Pax Americana has worked. We have had no World Wars for over 40 years.

The premise that Libertarians would end social programs from going to Illegals is based on the idea that they can end government sponsored social programs for everyone. That is a dream that will not happen. In my greatest ideals we would have very little social welfare in America, but its not going to happen. I agree with many of the ideals of the libertarian party. But that is all they have. Trying to run a presidential candidate without having any party backing in the Congress or even in State representation is foolish. If we want to change the direction of this country the only pragmatic way to do it is through the Republican Party. And the only way to change the Party is from the bottom. Bailing out is not the option.

You are so correct. I would like to see some state Constitution Party candidates win, but I don’t see a third party winning the race for President.
