I'm shocked he took the approach that he did instead of distancing himself from the racial rhetoric. He painted himself as an racial extremist who is beholden to perceived injustices rather than a uniter. He may have just set blacks back for many years rather than opening the door to the presidency. Incredible...

I'm glad he did this speech now. It will be picked apart and thrown back at him.
The part that got to me was, "I can not disown him (Wright)". He just showed his racism.

Mike, I think it is so sad that he “painted himself as a racial extremist...”. Honestly I had thought that if he did get elected well at least young black kids without much hope might at least be inspired and see a realization that they could do anything. This is so sad.
