Since when did Newsmax have credibility?

I've been wondering that myself. They don't exactly run Batboy stories, but dang close.

Obama deserves to get roasted over this story though - even though he wasn't at that particular sermon, I mean c'mon, the man officiated at Obama's wedding, and baptized his children. Generally speaking, you don't pick nutcases to baptize your children. I also didn't care for Obama mentioning that the man was a US Marine - that has nothing to do with it - loony Christian ministers are still loony, whether it's Jerry Falwell, Pat Robertson, Ted Haggard, whoever. Except for Haggard, you knew what kind of nuts those previous guys were, and Wright's being a US Marine in his earlier days has no impact on his character later on.

I don't even know what's worse - having a loony Christian minister as your spiritual counselor for 20 years, or taking Chinese money for campaign donations...

They do what a lot of fringe news organizations do - they go with a story based on no facts, and if they're right by chance, they can get out in front and say that they were first. The problem with this strategy is that they're often wrong.

I agree he deserves it. But the Newsmax farce is beside the point. Obama had to know what kind of church this was, what kind of sermons his mentor gives, etc.
