The worst part about the 0.25% discount cut is that it telegraphs only a 0.25% cut for Tuesday. Futures have priced in 1%. 0.75% would be a disappointment.

The worst part about the 0.25% discount cut is that it telegraphs only a 0.25% cut for Tuesday. Futures have priced in 1%. 0.75% would be a disappointment. My theory is that with the phony inflation figures they gave out last week, they will do a 100 basis point reduction.
