ALBANY - Gov. Eliot Spitzer has been caught on a federal wiretap arranging to meet with a high-priced prostitute at a Washington hotel last month, according to a person briefed on the federal investigation.
An affidavit in the federal investigation into a prostitution ring said that a wiretap recording captured a man identified as Client 9 on a telephone call confirming plans to have a woman travel from New York to Washington, where he had reserved a hotel room. The person briefed on the case identified Mr. Spitzer as Client 9.
Mr. Spitzer today made a brief public appearance during which he apologized for his behavior, and described it as a “private matter.”
“I have acted in a way that violates my obligation to my family and violates my or any sense of right or wrong,” said Mr. Spitzer, who appeared with his wife Silda at his Manhattan office. “I apologize first and most importantly to my family. I apologize to the public to whom I promised better.”

So. Eliot Spitzer. Wow. The man himself hasn’t admitted that he went on a sex vacation, but credible news reports place the New York governor at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, DC on February 13. A federal affidavit says “Client 9” met with a high-class hooker that night in room 871; a source says that’s Spitzer.
If all women in the world looked like the beast you showed, that would be one sure way to “decrease the surplus population” in the world, for no man in his right mind would want to have sex with her even if it was free.

Spitzer may not face charges for hiring a hooker---and is probably making a deal. ALTHOUGH he probably was in DC on official business when he cell-phoned the agency---and may have even used public funds for this purpose.
PLUS The Mann Act figures in since Spitz brought a person for immoral acts across state lines.
However, bigtime money-laundering, IRS, and bank fraud are on the table.

ya know, I was told once that the hotel bar at the Mayflower was a good place to hang out in DC to meet powerful men - but I was also told to watch out because the women in the bar could be mistaken for prostitutes. True story.

Sadly, there's probably some truth in that.
actually, I read the complaint which said he gave an extra 1500 bucks to replenish his account with the “modeling” agency, so this particular visit cost him about 2800 plus some travel expenses. About 750/hr. She was either an attorney or the other kind of whore.
