After Tuesday's primaries it's official Hillary Clinton has gotten up off the mat, and an opportunity to possibly finish her off has gone by the wayside. Just how much, if at all, this might have been due to Republican crossover voting in Texas is unclear. But one thing is not: The chances of a potential Clinton/Obama unity ticket, which would have the best shot of all possible tickets of spelling doom for the GOP in November, have just gotten better.
Yes, there is still the possibility of a Democratic civil war and intra-party meltdown, which was apparently the point of conservative crossover voters trying to keep Sen. Clinton's candidacy alive. Mathematically, it appears almost certain that neither she nor Sen. Obama can obtain the number of delegates needed to prevent a brokered convention and keep the nomination from going to the superdelegates to decide. But to presume that this will automatically get the fur flying is presuming a bit too much.

Dems who thought that Dick Cheney was a real Machiavellian power behind the throne will have their eyes opened if Hildebeast gets the VP spot and goes into office.
She and Slick will be eating Obama's lunch in short order from her EOB office. Those two will make the Borgias look like a bunch of boy scouts.
Yes. It is shaping up to be a nightmare for Democrats and sweet dreams for Republicans who can look forward with some confidence to a McCain win in November- Oh well there is always a cloud in every every silver lining.
They should revoke his hypnotist license!
Both of them become more beatable because of the Clinton tenacity and dirty dealing. McCain and the Reppublicans won’t attack Hussein. So it is good that the Clintons are there to shovel mud and excrement. And the shoveling of that mud insures that the Democrat lock on the black vote will be a lock an an exceptionally low turnout if the Clintons are the candidate. The Democrats are falling into a lose-lose abyss that just might bring us back Congress to balance our own McDemocrat.
I am sure I'm not alone in finding her as POTUS to be unbearable and, to boot, I think Obama will wilt in the general. If that's true then Obama is the preferred opponent. I do not understand Limbaugh’s thinking and IMO he should just shut up.
Even if Obama accepted #2 spot, Hillary couldn’t afford anyone that might shine the light into the dark corners of her administration.
Obama would be set up in some way and forced to resign or have an unfortunate accident. He’s not safe with Hillary in any combination.
I can’t imagine Hussein Obama being stupid enough to take on the Clintons as VP. Surely he would have Ron Brown in the back of his mind and Vince Foster and a whole Arkansas full of ghosts.
Generally unnoticed in the returns from Texas the other day was the news that it was East Texas "yaller dog" Democrats who gave the state to Beastgirl.
Seems their genetic predisposition to robes and pointy hats (OK, I'm being tacky now) interfered with their ability to see Obama as the Anointed of America, as David to Bill Clinton's King Saul.
The MSM Hive Mind isn't leaking its inner thoughts and fears about this slippage -- although I'm sure their queen's chamber is abuzz -- but it may be that the Dems refused to learn from their statewide extermination in Texas a few years ago, when they ran a "no white guys" ticket (black senatorial candidate, south Texas Chicano businessman with vague MeChista affinities for governor) at those same "yaller dogs", who responded by staying home on election day. Result: Bloodbath for the Dems.
The Texas Democrats intend to run that kind of ticket in the future as soon as they've side-door "naturalized" enough illegal Mexican aliens, and they telegraphed their intentions fairly openly, hence their defeat. But it may be that that kind of ticket on the national level is generations premature, and Hillary's identity-political appeals will in fact turn off a huge and active Democratic clientele -- labor -- resulting in an epic bitch-slapping at the polls.
We'll see.
It is worse than it was for Algore. Hussein would be titled VP but would really be #3 or worse. He might not even make the papers for 4 years. By 2012 he would not even be remembered. Any tie-up with the Clintons, either as VP or Pres would ensure that Obama disappears from American politics.
It would be a sign of losing the will to live.
1. exit poll data from Texas indicated that most GOP crossovers voted for Obama, not Hillary, so the premise is flawed.
2. Obama’s supporters (not Obama himself) should subtly play the race card — whitey making the black guy take the back of the bus -— this is in effect more of the same racism from the Clintons IMHO
Ugh!! This is why we can’t play Politics with the Rats! You fools! They’ll beat us every time. Our party won on principals and when it became a party of politics is when we started losing.
When this sorts itself out, Rush will be seen to have had the last chuckle. We will elect a liberal in November but with the Democrats making it impossible for each other that liberal is much more likely to be McCain and he is apt to bring a more conservative new Congress with him that will keep him more in check.
I’m not so sure about a large boycott by either black voters or ultra-left whites.
Certainly, there’ll be a significant number who’ll stay home or vote for Nader but most will vote for Hillary - albeit with little or no enthusiasm or volunteer support.
I’m not going to vote for McCain because he’s an evil scumbag, the idea of voting for Hillary just to play evil spoiler is disgusting.
If Hillary is the president, you conservatives who voted for her chose her.
I hope she does run with McCain. That way we get two of them out of the picture in the future via one embarrassment.
Hussein could make a move “for the good of the party” but he will not see the GOTP as involving Clintons on the top of the ticket and CLintons see only the “good of the Clintons” which does not include playing second to Hussein for more than a few months and surely Hussein understands that.
