humblegunner, I don't think you know too much about the system in question here. Homeschooled children in CA are required to use a state-approved curriculum, which they must show evidence of completing by objective testing. A credentialled teacher is just not necessary in this context.

this is not true... i choose my children's curriculum... nobody approves it... no testing is required... we are not required to use a state-approved curriculum nor take tests...

are you thinking that every California homeschooler has to go through K-12 Virtual Academy?
