Yeh Jal... our low-level GOP is still a high water mark
compared to the sludge mud of the DNC crowd. I’ll try to take some encouragement in that morsel of fact.

He was asked if Reagan got the nomination, if he would take the VP slot. Bush Sr. VERY EARLY said yes. I know, I was there. A dream ticket was born. They were halfway home from the start, what with California, and Texas, sure bets. Even today the idiotic MSM says Reagan and Bush were the dream ticket. I remember a commentator at Nixon's funeral, seeing them walk down the aisle together, saying here comes the dream ticket, Reagan and Bush.
Biggest mistake Reagan made putting Bush on the ticket
He didn't need him
He should have picked a conservative
Bush begat Clinton etc etc etc

“reminded him of the witch-hunt led by special prosecutor Kenneth Starr”
I think that was a silly thing to say. I think we need to send a list of the “witch hunt” charges to the Obama campaign. We need to chum the waters of this rat fight!

It’s amazing, that for all the Democrats are panicked at the thought of the Republicans winning, they’re tearing each other apart.

CLASSIC!!! Rat-on-Rat fratricide caught on film. This whole brouhaha is exactly why Rush told people to cross over in Texas and Ohio. It was in the Pubs’ best interest to keep these two at each other’s throat as long as possible.

I do know a little bit about Presidential politics, having worked on Reagan's campaign staff. There is usually an informal agreement among the candidates to withdraw quickly, when it is obvious that there is a winner. For the sake of the Party, and to win the election in November.Perhaps, but IIRC Reagan was in it until the convention in '76, maybe damaging Ford enough to give us Jimmy Carter. Also, it was a three-way fight between Nixon, Rockefeller and Reagan at the convention in '68. Correct me if I'm wrong but that's how I remember it.

Nixon had it by convention time. There was no floor fight. And the party united. 1976 was special, as Ford was not an ELECTED OR nominate President. 1976 was about the only time the GOP didn’t get a nominee early, but it was some special circumstances.

Isn't it odd how these Dems get overseas and think they can say anything they want and then have it blow back on them?!
BWAHAHAHAHA!

And Kennedy’s tax policies were PRO-business. I always love to throw that back at any JFK Dems.
To: societygirl
At least the Dems are true to their belief that “everyone is a winner”.
Hope it holds until Denver.
Thanks Rush!

Well, it’s certainly true that even when the GOP fight they keep it civil. There was no problem in ‘68 uniting around Nixon when everything was settled. I have trouble seeing Obama and Hillary making nice after a six month long knife fight.

And Kennedys tax policies were PRO-business.Someone with JFK's views would be totally out of place in today's Democratic Party. Same is true of Truman.

everyone is a winner ROTFLMAO!!!! That's why the Dems lose because NOBODY WINS with that attitude. McCain was livid that he lost in 2000... but he just soldiered on and did YEOMAN work for Bush in 2004, and for the rest of the GOP. The Dems just REMAIN LIVID. I say, let them.
To: jalisco555
This Dem brawl will be the MOTHER OF ALL DEMOCRAT BRAWLS. NO ONE will be happy. Good, bodes well for the GOP in the fall. I always say Republicans don't win these elections, DEMCORATS LOSE THEM. They are right on track to do that this year, too. We should LET THEM.
To: jalisco555
Hillary a monster? I’m shocked! Why, you could know me over with a kitchen sink!
