Perhaps not murdered but the cancer got him in the end. To some, he is as good as martyred, however “illegtimately”.

The same goes for Che Guevara. He and Marley have their own posthumus iconographies. They’re perceived as being as good as martyred. Probably Arafat too...Martyrdom...it’s just a special way of comprehending a meaningful death. Not that any life or death is ever meaningless.
