Careful, now...
There are good reasons for not be able to edit, after posting. Some folks would play games, and go back to change their wordings, delete a statement or two, just because they are competitive in their fierce argumentativeness.
It can be bad enough as it is, with some folks twisting words around, and inventing/claiming things others supposedly, but did not say.
An edit button with a link to revisions maybe? Sounds clunky...so maybe that's too much?
Regardless, whatever changes you make --- you can change back, or change again, if you don't fully like the results.
Whew. That could be interesting. Maybe a little too interesting if people can get into arguments and then go back and revise their posts to support their arguments and claim, "I didn't say that". My suggestion would be to handle edits the way revised threads are handled, with a link to the original "as is" post.
Nice work on the forum. Tip of the hat to you. Even somebody like me who is old and confused and set in his ways can use the forum just fine.
EDIT WOULD BE WONDERFUL.

The edit button is available . . . I forget—4-24 hours or some such. Then it’s no longer an option.
Usually we see our errors within an hour or 4. But 24 hours would be nice.
Sweet, best of luck.
I like it (the changes). Thanks!
