The guy is NOT a Muslim - PUNTO!!! PERIOD!!!!!!

That's not what his sister says:

In an interview with the New York Times, published on April 30th, 2007, Maya Soetoro-Ng, Obama’s younger half sister, told the Times, "My whole family was Muslim, and most of the people I knew were Muslim.  (Alternate link)

I assume Maya thinks of her brother, Obama, as a member of her family?

Then, there is this:

On February 27th, 2007, Barack Hussein Obama said the Muslim call to prayer is "one of the prettiest sounds on Earth."

In an interview with Nicholas Kristof, published in The New York Times, Obama recited the Muslim call to prayer, the Adhan, "with a first-class [Arabic] accent."

The opening lines of the Adhan (Azaan) is the  Shahada:

"Allah is Supreme! Allah is Supreme!
Allah is Supreme! Allah is Supreme!
I witness that there is no god but Allah
I witness that there is no god but Allah
I witness that Muhammad is his prophet... "

According to Islamic scholars, reciting the Shahada, the Muslim declaration of faith, makes one a Muslim.  This simple yet profound statement expresses a Muslim's complete acceptance of, and total commitment to, the message of Islam.

Obama knows this from his Quranic studies -- and he knows the New York Times will publish this fact and it will be seen throughout the Islamic world.

Regardless of Obama's religion, what message is he sending the world's 1.2 billion Muslims?

I disagree with Obama’s politics. Like Hillary, he fails to recognize or acknowledge the consequences of a withdrawal from Iraq. Like her he is a socialist. Like most Democrats, his views of patriotism are warped and distorted, twisted by a misplaced sense of national guilt brought on by an inability to view American and World history from a balanced perspective.

I'm a white Christian.

Obama apparently grew up half white and half black in world that was neither Christian nor Islamic but a part of both. It must have been a confusing experience.

I read the entire article you linked to in the beginning of your response. Based on the entirety of that article, it appears he is a Christian, albeit like so many modern day Christians, one with an imperfect vision of Christianity, while at the same time, one drawing interesting parallels between the Israelites and his own people in the past several centuries.

It is critical that Obama or Hillary be defeated in their quest for the White House. It would lose all the gains made by America in the Middle East, while throwing away the sacrifices of so many American men and women of all races and faiths. Most unfortunately, that means McCain must win.

Either way America loses, but it probably loses less with a McCain victory.

The main difference between Obama and Hillary is the Clintons are a crime syndicate - a modern day version of a Roman Triumvirate.

But thanks for those responses and the link. IT demonstrates that the veneer of racial tranquility in America is still all too thin. Perhaps in a few years, after those who lived during a period of segregation are all gone, it will improve.
