NEW YORK Even in the afterglow of a truly super Tuesday, the chief HIllary Clinton backers today have not outlined a plausible scenario for how she actually overcomes the Obama lead and gets enough delegates to win -- except that two of them, Terry McAuliffe and Gov. Ed Rendell, are now introducing the possibility of a re-vote in Michigan and Florida.

Florida is now discussing shelling out the money to do the vote, and if that happens, Michigan will likely follow........

Nope. Rush was brilliant in this. He had thought it through thoroughly and was about ten steps ahead of them. He has been on his monologue this morning enlightening things a bit. - The idea that the Democrats can cross over and meddle in the Republican primaries in order to get the candidate they choose, or to attempt to create havoc in the Republican Party is described by the drive-bys as “democracy in action”. . but, WHOA! - When Republicans do the same thing and cross over it’s “mischief and meddling, ungentlemanly”. - The MSM and cross-overs chose our candidate for us, so we are returning the favor - being the “mavericks” they love so much.

Hillary has to win 97% of the rest of the delegates, Obama needst to win 70%. Tee Hee. . or as Rush gleefully remarked over his oatmeal this morning, “I just love it when a plan comes together!”

Hillary will have to cause a Civil War. Chaos!

The perfect outcome is if somehow the Dem nomination battle ends up in the Supreme Court..

We have 3 candidates that no one wants and if it had been up to the public; none of them would ever be where they are.

Maybe you don't like these candidates but each has an awful of PUBLIC support. In about two months, John McCain eliminated all his opponents and secured the nomination. Hillary and Obama are racking up record numbers of voters in their primaries. We conservatives need to remember that we are only a sliver of the electorate. It was the public that put these candidates where they are.

Why don’t we tax the Democrats to pay for the revote.

Awesome idea! Hit everyone that votes with, say, a $50 fee to offset re-vote costs. Let Democrats be true to their word and help government by contributing more, and avert crossover voting at the same time. What a noble thing for Democrats to do.

If she puts him on the ticket as her VP, they'll fall in line back on the plantation

Ahh, but they were counting on the youth and other previous non-voters who are all jazzed up about their "hope and change". How much hope and change are they gonna get when their messiah has to play second fiddle to a Washington insider????

Will this mean that rats who voted in the Republican primaries in those states will now be able to vote for rats in these states? That means rats choose the candidates of both parties?

"The perfect outcome is if somehow the Dem nomination battle ends up in the Supreme Court..

Would be great, but will never happen, other than HRC challenging a re-vote in FL and MI.

They will work this thru by convention time, but in the meantime, Hillary will do the work "that Republicans don't want to do," and hopefully, bloody B.O. enough to make him vulnerable, should he prevail.

Personally, I believe that both have such big egos that neither would want to accept role as VP.

Hillary and Obama are racking up record numbers of voters in their primaries.

This is actually good news for us. Whoever wins there will be a large number of disgruntled Dem voters.

It will probably be run like a runoff election where only those voting for Dems or those who did not vote in the previous primary being allowed to vote.

The word “probably” concerns me. Who knows what they are capable of? I hope you are right, though.

Hillary hasn't spent the last 50 years running to be Vice President...and Obama is a young man. The VP slot has more negatives than plusses for him.

A group of tax-payers in florida and michigan should sue and get an injunction against the state to stop them from spending tax payer money to finance another primary for the Dems. May not work but would cost the dems money to fight and would point out the idiocy of this idea.

Why don’t we tax the Democrats to pay for the revote....we already paid for a primary here in FL.

Unfortunately, can't be done:

Amendment XXIV

Section 1. The right of citizens of the United States to vote in any primary or other election for President or Vice President, for electors for President or Vice President, or for Senator or Representative in Congress, shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or any state by reason of failure to pay any poll tax or other tax.

Section 2. The Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.

We should urge ALL of these Senators to agree to leave the Senate as they seek the White House. Put it all on the line.

As if Hillary wasn’t going to get the VP nomination on an Obama ticket

Man, the job of Presidential food taster would be almost as bad as having the Mohammad Caricature concession in downtown Mecca.

Preach on!

Only a fool would vote for a Clinton, whatever deluded reasoning there is.

Last night was Obama's chance to stick a fork in her, and he couldn't close the deal. Is it Rush Limbaugh's fault? I say.....no. I figure that conservatives who crossed lines to vote for Hillary! are more-or-less offset by conservatives who voted for Obama and cackled with glee while doing it.

I think that Obama is beatable - his support is soft and, quite frankly, he's had to peak too early. It's difficult to keep up what he's been doing for nearly a year. Hillary! has the political connections and the national machine to win the election. God Forbid.

And, as to all of the speculation about a Clinton / Obama ticket....I don't see it happening. Clinton won't want to share the spotlight.

No revotes and no delegates seated, the democrats did this to themselves. It sets a horrible precedent for the future.

Yeah, but Democrats are all about horrible precedents for the future! ;)

FL and MI should tell the DNC: "You want a re-vote? You pay for it."
