It is, in fact, the most usual result of a closely contested nominating contest.
Hildy especially could not walk away from at least asking Obama. She would have a lot of work to do to attract his supporters should she somehow wrangle the nomination.
Obama, not so much. However, these latest wins by Hildy will be used to pitch to the party elites that she is the only one who can win the big states; IOW, to question Obama’s electability.
If they buy that, they may be particularly keen to see him put her on the ticket to win the big states. They can essentially force Obama to do that because the superdelegates still control the party’s tickets.

Got about 4 in. of snow this morning. With the mess from last night, about 56,000 are still without power in the area.
I dunno. It seems that way every time, then the candidates kiss and make up.
Very rarely does personal bitterness at that level trump political realities. People figure they’ll deal with it once they get in office.

The delegates are only part of the picture.
Hildy will use these wins to strongarm the party elites, big donors, etc. with the idea that only she can win the popular vote in the big states.
This is how these wins gave her a whole new boatload of political power-—not by delegates, but by enhancing her argument that Obama is not electable.
IOW, she will be arguing Electoral College math, while he is arguing delegate math.
