My guess, if within the United States is the target area, would be Mount Rainier in Washington state. That is the only really high mountain I can think of that is not in Cal, CO or AK.
You are right. Mount Ranier is #24.http://americasroof.com/fourteeners.shtml
Ding ding ding. We have a winner. I guess the thing that through me was the “50”. I’d think something in ID or MT or even one of the HI volcanos would make the score. I’d like to see a list of the 50 highest peaks.
Went to 100 Highest Mountain Peaks in the US and found:
Of the top 50, only Mount Rainier at 17 was not in Cal, Co or Ak.
Mona Loa was 66, not even the highest in Hawaii. Mauna Kea is at 59.
As Mount Olympus, Sunny, I hate to say this, but that peak is only 7,962 feet, no where near any of the top 100. #101, Mount Ritter in Cal, is 13,149 feet high.
Rainier?
